Amongst a sea of 300 people in my Commercial Law lecture, I finally met Putri again. Putri is a Kiwi-Indonesian girl I met a few months ago at the KPMG assessment day. When I first met her, she sat right next to me and started to chat me up. My first impression of her was that she's really nice, friendly, sophisticated, and pretty with her long, dark brown hair and tanned skin (but now it's not tanned anymore, lol). A while later she asked me where I was from. When I told her that I came from Indonesia, she said "me too!!" and I looked at her and thought "huh??" I mean, she didn't look Indonesian at all!! She looked 100% western! So I asked "are you half Indonesian?" and she said "yes, my name's Putri." So I thought "whoa!! This girl's got an Indonesian name!!" Oh yeah, she actually speaks Indonesian quite well, which really surprised me cos I have some friends who are pure Indonesian but can't even speak the language at all. Speaking of Kiwi-Indonesian friends, I also know a guy called Maurice who's Kiwi-indo AND speaks Indonesian too. He lives in Christchurch but I met up with him and his sister when I was in Jakarta in June. Anyway, I can't believe Putri's actually in the same class as me now. We should probably hang out after the exams are over.

Hey guess what, last night I didn't manage to do my assignment at all. I was so sleepy and tired that I didn't even wake up for "sahur". So today I asked for an extension from my lecturer, and she just gave me one without even asking me what my reasons are. Great! No more stressful assignments for the rest of the day! Tonight I can just focus on studying for my French and Spanish tests tomorrow! Yippie!
Anyway, this afternoon I got a phonecall saying that the IRD Investigations people decided not to offer me the job. Boo hoo. I'm disappointed of course, but I already expected this so I just shrugged the news off.
Oh yeah, an email made my day just a few moments after the IRD phonecall. I'm not sure if "he" really sent it to me on purpose and meant it, or whether he only sent it to me by accident. I do hope it's the former.
Mini-updates.
