Man, it's been AHSS fever for me these days!! (AHSS was my school back then in Jordan). About two weeks ago I got back in touch with Adam after getting his email from Abz and adding him on MSN. A few days ago I chatted with Maysa after googling her and finding her in MySpace, and last night I finally spoke to Munir after getting his email from Adam.
I am so glad everyone whom I got back in touch with still remember me, except for Tareq who doesn't remember me at all. Oh well

Today I decided to catch up with my studies and do any assignments that are due after the break. I previously thought that my second Auditing presentation will be held in week 8, but luckily it's in week 9, so I can begin working on that later.
Early in the morning I was going to submit another application for the IRD job, but then I thought I should just call the recruitment officer to verify whether they've received my application that I submitted on the 14th of August. The person said that they've already got my application, and currently they're shortlisting them and will contact the successful candidates in a few days. Inshallah I'll go through to the next stage.
I've just realised that
Pohlen Kean (the HR company that's recruiting accounting graduates to be sent on a secondment to Deloitte in London) is located in Auckland. Ohh, what a pain! I thought it was in Wellington! *sigh*
Anyway, it's been 8 years since I last spoke to
Maysa. A few days ago I found her on
MySpace, and yesterday afternoon I finally talked to her on MSN!! Maysa's an old friend of mine, and we used to be classmates 'til 7th grade in Jordan. I'm so glad that she's still the witty, fun-loving girl I used to know back then :)

Closing application dates for a graduate position:
- As an auditor in Deloitte in London: 4 September
- As an auditor in Audit New Zealand: 7 September
- As an investigations officer in IRD: 28 August
I've applied for the IRD job, but I haven't got any responses from them whatsoever. I really need to push myself and apply for the other two jobs. Merely submitting an application is not enough as I need to prepare myself for the psychometric testings and interviews as well. A few months ago I applied for the same job at Audit NZ but only made it to the testing and case study stages. Luckily they're currently looking for more graduates so I can apply again, and I definitely need to stay focused and work harder this time.
Oh by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YULI !! She's turning 22 today, and she used to be one of my closest friends in Wellington before she went back to Indonesia and married her husband. Congrats to her 1-month old baby boy too. I wish them all the best in life.

Forget "TGIF" (Thank God It's Friday) !!
I can't believe it's almost the end of the first week of my mid-trimester break! Just one more week to go and we're back to class. I don't want my holiday to be over, dammit! I have tons of things to do but I still haven't managed to do them. Aah, lazy mode is SO on!
In the mean time, check out the website of
KissDesign.net if you own a home page or a blog. It's got heaps of cute stuffs and goodies for your site. The only catch is: it's in French, so it'll be hard to browse around if you don't understand it. However I do think there's an English version of the site. Just google it if you can be bothered.
Oh, you know what I love about my blog? It's the counter, haha! It's so cute, just like my baby Goddess. Man, I miss cuddling and pampering her, she's just too adorable! I hope her master's taking good care of her.

Hi guys, welcome to my new blog! It's bye-bye to my old Friendster blog, and some people might be relieved as they will no longer receive those annoying "Dessy has updated her Friendster blog" emails.
I'm proud of the layout I made for this blog. It took me a day to design it, and another day to write up the HTML, CSS, and Blogger codes. Oh, by the way I designed the layout using Photoshop and
Leon Pistache's illustration; (merci beaucoup Monsieur Pistache!) I'll probably enhance my blog even more with a tagboard and other fancy stuffs.
