Okay, let's make it this way: Dear blog.. sorry for isolating you for almost a month. I know I promised myself to update this blog frequently ever since I put this green layout.. but still, sometimes I just can't be bothered. And yeah, I know I promised to write the full details of what happened during the "meet-and-greet with SBY" day (including some pics), but I was too busy with my assignmnents at that time, and after my assignments were done I just couldn't be bothered to get back writing in this blog until now. So I'd like to apologise to all you readers out there who are interested in knowing what happened.. (especially you people in Indo).
Anyway, I unsuccessful for the summer internship position in the Tax department at Deloitte. I made it to the very last stage of the process though. I was invited for the interview, psychometric test, personality assessment, bla bla bla. But in the end, they sent an email saying these exact same words:
"Having carefully considered and reviewed your strengths, we feel that while your abilities and background are certainly of a high calibre, they do not fully match the specifications for the available positions. Therefore we regret to advise that you have been unsuccessful in your application for a Summer Clerk position at this time."
I thought they sent the same email to everyone who was unsuccessful. But a girl in my Finance class said that she got rejected because her skills weren't good enough and so forth. So I guess I'm not the one they're looking for. But hey.. could it be because I answered the personality test so honestly?? Ever since the rejection from Deloitte, I felt that life is a game, you gotta cheat if you wanna win. So yeah, I won't be honest the next time I apply for a job or an internship. Oh no wait, is that even a good idea?
This year I only applied for the summer internship, but next year I can start applying for the graduate position as well. The thing is, I promise that I'll commit myself for the recruitment in the Big 4 next year!! Cos I wanna get into the Big 4 firms so baaaaaddd!! The ICANZ booklet wrote that if you start your career in the Big 4 and you don't like it, you can literally choose your next job in other companies! Cos the Big 4's reputation and quality is just too great that other companies wouldn't think twice to accept you!!
Hmm.. what else..
Likta just took off to Jakarta an hour ago (via Auckland and Singapore) . So sad.. it seems like everyone's leaving permanently this year.. Huaaaa Liktaaaa!! Gak ada lagi deh yg suka cubit2in gua.. hix.. Why do you have to leave when we've just gotten closer??? But then again, I'm sure she'll contact me frequently, unlike Yuli who's just too reluctant to contact any of us in NZ.
*sigh..* Can't believe I just wrote all this. It's gotten too long. Gotta stop now. Thanks a lot if you managed to survive and immerse yourself in reading this post til the end.
