I am enjoying my Easter break at the moment (although I'm not celebrating it). Yesterday morning I went to Newlands for badminton, and unexpectedly Koko was there too. He hardly ever goes there! Anyway, after that I went to Likta's house, then the airport at 2.30ish (to say goodbye to Emir and Vanna), then back to Om Pieter's house. Later at 9.30ish after watching Clueless on TV, Nanda, Likta, Yani, and I went to Starbucks in Readings Cinema for some frappucino!
A cold night + a cold rhumba Venti-sized frappucino + not wearing a jacket = a freezing, shivering body. I was fidgeting all the time. But lucky I wasn't the only one, cos Nanda was shivering as well.

Got an email from KPMG saying that I got rejected..
Naaah who cares??? I'm more interested in Deloitte anyway :)
Still waiting for a reply from Ernst & Young.. but I think they rejected me too.

I had my interview with Deloitte yesterday at 4 'clock. Funny I wasn't nervous at all (and that was my very 1st interview in my whole life!). Instead, I was anxious and looking forward to it.
Anyway, the interviewers were 2 men: a kiwi (Deloitte's tax partner), and an Indian man (manager in the tax department I think). They were both really friendly and made me feel relaxed and comfortable. They didn't make the interview seem formal, cos a few times one of them joked about what I said or what he said, and we actually laughed several times during the interview.
And how did my interview go? Well, at the beginning I could answer their questions smoothly (although I don't think my answers were convincing enough to make them choose me as one of the tax summer interns). Later on, I got stuck in answering some of the questions.. cos I didn't know what to say or how to put my words together! (Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!!)
For example, there was this question which was something like "Tell us about a business issue that interests you, and why are you interested in it?" I didn't really know what to say, then 3 seconds later something popped into my mind and I started talking bulls*** about Enron's collapse!! (Why did I talk bulls*** / made things up about it? Cos I didn't know anything about the issue at all! It just popped in my head, and all I know is that Enron's a huge company!! I don't even know when did it collapse or whether it's an accounting firm or something!)
My interview only took 30 minutes (and that includes me asking them a bunch of questions which they answered very comprehensively), which I think is really fast cos they said that it should've taken about 45 minutes or 1 hour!!
Oh yeah, they said that there will be 6 positions available for the tax summer internship. From what I found out this morning, I think there are 10 people who've applied for that position and made it to the interview stage. So that means.. I have a 60% chance of being offered the position!!

Here I am at the Vic Commerce Library.. waiting for my interview with Deloitte later at 4 o'clock (I'm a bit nervous now, and because of that my stomach hurts!!). I just had my psychometric assessment and personality test this morning from 9-11 a.m. The psychometric assessment consisted of 32 verbal reasoning questions (18 minutes) and 20 numerical reasoning ones (20 minutes). And they were both HARD!!! (Well, there were a few easy questions, but 90% of them were hard). The time was such a constraint! As for the personality test, there were about 100 questions, at first it was quite fun cos the test was basically to answer questions about ourselves (no right or wrong answers). But because there were 100 of them, the personality test gradually became booooorrrrriiing...
So yeah, right now I'm preparing myself for the interview at 4 p.m.
Duh.. saking nervousnya pengen boker nih.. (huss, gak sopan!! haha!)

You know what, yesterday I wrote a whole bunch of what happened during the meet-and-greet day with SBY. But when I was about to post it, the Blogger system crashed and everything that I typed (including some pics) just vanished!! And worst of all, I couldn't recover it!!
I'm soooo pissed off!!!!! Udah nulis capek2, eeeeh malah ilang begitu aja! Jadi males nulisnya lagi nih gua! But I promise I'll write it again.. probably on Tuesday when all my essays are due. I'll post some pictures too :)

Indonesia's current president, known as SBY for short, finally arrived in Wellington in the morning (not sure what time..) Everyone's getting busy right now, especially the KBRI people and other Indonesians who are part of the
panitia. I have no idea what time my dad came home last night, cos I slept at 2 a.m. but he still wasn't home (he had to install a special phone line in SBY's hotel room at Intercontinental Hotel).

Besok bakal ada acara makan siang di wisma antara SBY ama masyarakat Indo di Wellington. Kayaknya sih bakal ada tanya jawab 'n press conference juga. Yang jelas besok bakal rame banget deh (well, at least begitulah perkiraan gua). Oh iya, besok gua jadi penerima tamu di wisma with 3 other girls and 2 guys. Untungnya gak jadi pake kebaya! Yay! Cuma disuruh pake blazer 'n rok item, yang jelas mesti rapi lah..
Can't wait til 2moro! In the mean time, gua mesti mulai bikin essay nih!! Minggu depan ada 2 tes 'n 2 essay, tp essaynya blom mulai, 'n baru belajar dikit banget, hehehhee.. Well, at least I'm not leaving them 'til the last minute :)

Yesterday afternoon I was in my room, studying, and suddenly my cellphone rang and I thought "who could this be..??" (cos the caller ID was hidden/unshown). I answered it anyway cos what's the harm?

And suddenly.. it was a voice of an unfamiliar female NZer. When she introduced herself as a member of the Human Resource department, I instantly thought "Oh gosh.. she must be from one of the Big 4 companies I applied to!" And I was right! She was from Deloitte!!!!!
Afterwards, I thought "Oh gosh.. there are 3 possibilities here: it's either she's calling me to ask for more information about my internship application, or to tell me that I've been rejected, or to congratulate me and invite me for an interview.."
Surprisingly, it was the 3rd one!!

The lady called me to arrange an interview with me for the upcoming Monday!! I was so psyched! Astonished! Excited! But at the same time I'm kinda freaked out too, cos what if they're gonna ask me some hard and weird questions that might take me forever to answer??!
Wow.. Deloitte eh?? The fastest growing Big 4 firm! (Oh, in case you don't know, the other Big 4 accounting firms are Ernst & Young, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers). I'm still waiting for a reply from E&Y and KPMG.. hope they'll accept me for an interview too.. And as for PwC, I didn't have time to apply for it (oh well..)

Oh gosh.. can't believe Koko's gonna take Goddess away from me tomorrow (I mean, today.. cos it's Monday already, just a few minutes past midnight). I know this is stupid, but yesterday when I received his text message about it, I cried instantly! And this morning I secretly shed tears again when I told my family about it and they sort of gathered around Goddess and said "Yaaa.. Goddess, kamu besok pindah ke rumah baru ya?" (Yup, Koko a.k.a. Coconut-- Goddess's original owner -- finally moved to a new house).
Oh well.. I'd definitely feel that something's gonna be missing if Goddess isn't around. Nobody else to hug (or squeeze!), nobody else to play with, nobody else to pat and pamper, and nobody else to feed (with Whiskas Cravers). Damn I'm gonna miss her SO MUCH!! I can feel it already!!

Goddess.. selling a pot of flower?
I could remember the time when I was at the airport 3.5 years ago (ready to leave Indonesia and just about to get into the plane to NZ), and I wasn't sad at all, but suddenly I cried heavily when my cousin mentioned that I was about to leave my cats forever!
I'm in my room rite now, and Goddess is on my bed, and when I look at her I feel like "Oh gosh.. this is my last night with Goddess.."
Oh crap, girlie! Don't be sad! Look at the bright side! For example, I wouldn't have to clean Goddess's poo every morning, and finally I can tidy up my room if she's not here! (Yea yea whatever.. but still.. I'm gonna miss her!)

I finally met Fluffy

yesterday (wow, it's been a year!!). He's skinnier now, ain't as fluffy as before, ain't that black anymore (damn!), etc. but he still remembered me!! He rubbed his head on my cheek when I hugged him, manja banget deh pokoknya! Ampe yg laen pada terharu (apa coba??) A few hours later, the six of us (including Mila) went to town for coffee and kebab.
Aarrgh, can't wait for a reply from Deloitte, KPMG, and Ernst & Young (oh yea, I didn't have time applying for PwC). I hope they're gonna accept my [last-minute] application and invite me for an interview, and I hope they're gonna do the same to Chika! And.. if they reject my application, I still hope Chika's gonna make it to the interview stage. If we both get the [summer internship] job offer in the end, it'll be like.. WOW!!!!! Who doesn't wanna work in one of Ernst & Young, Deloitte, KPMG, and PricewaterhouseCoopers??? These firms are internationally known as the "BIG 4", the largest accounting firms in the world!! And yup, di Indo juga ada kok (kecuali Deloitte, kenapa yach?)
Hmm.. I know I applied for Tax at Deloitte and KPMG, but.. did I apply for Tax or Audit at Ernst & Young???? Come to think of it, I think I really DO have a memory breakdown since the MOFI201 test.. *sigh*

You guys who are familiar with the Indonesian news must have known that our president (SBY!!) is coming to Wellington, NZ (yay!!). He was supposed to arrive tomorrow (Saturday, 2nd of April). But I just found out yesterday from my mom that his arrival's postponed 'til Wednesday *damn!*
Oiya.. gua disuruh ma KBRI jadi penerima tamu lhooo (maklum, anak KBRI, hix..)
Tadinya sih oke2 aja, katanya cuma disuruh pake blazer item ama rok item gitu. Tapi ternyata diubah disuruh pake kebaya (gubraxxx... mampus deh, gua paling males pake kebaya soalnya, mana lagi autumn nih, pasti ntar windy 'n dingin deh, blom lagi rambutnya bakal diapain gitu, uuuuh males dah). Tapi ga papa deh, siapa tau ntar bisa salaman 'n foto bareng ma SBY. U guys know what, I still don't know what our current president looks like, (I only know his name), hihihi payah banget ya gua??? Gak ngikutin politik sih.. *sigh*

This morning at around 10 a.m. I went to Mila's house for the very first time with Nina, Chika, 'n Utine (Erick "kindly" dropped us there, tee hee), and later on Kaka came. Finally I met Fluffy (da black nigga kitty kat that I kept for about 3 months last year when Mila got married in Indo). I thought Fluffy was supposed to be this cute, fat, lazy black cat, but when I saw him today he was skinnier, ain't that cute, and not as fluffy as before (especially his tail, it used to be really thick 'n bushy, but Mila said that Mas Dwi cut off some of the tail hair).
Then later in the afternoon at 2 p.m., us girls headed off to town just to hang around for coffee and kebab until 5-ish. My head suddenly got dizzy and I wasn't sure whether I should have dinner wit Chika 'n da gang or go to KBRI and go home wit my dad. But I decided on the 2nd option after we dropped Mila off at her house, cos I just couldn't stand the headache anymore.
Damn.. I haven't started looking for some articles for my essays or study for my upcoming tests. Still got one more week of holidays though, I should be able to finish them all in time with no stress (hopefully, d'ohh!)
