"Never judge people based on what they did in the past!"That's what I learned a few days ago. And what made me think this way? Here's the story:
It all started on Monday morning when the foggy atmosphere created a reluctant feeling to wake up. Because it was a responsibility for me to go to university early at 8 o'clock, I forced my tired body to get up anyway. I went straight to the bathroom to pee, brush my teeth, wash my acne-prone face, and take a shower.
About half an hour later, dad was fussing in the bathroom upstairs. "There's no more hot water!!!!!" He kept on repeating the Indonesian equivalent of those words while I calmly enjoyed my breakfast in the living room. I instantly knew what was going to happen as soon as he stepped out of the bathroom.
"Des! You've wasted the hot water on yourself!! You always spend
ages in the shower! And because of that, there's no more hot water for me to use, and you made me have a cold,
freezing shower in a cold,
freezing morning like this!"
Simultaneously I thought
yeah yeah whatever.. he's always blaming it all on ME!Well, it
is true that I've always been the one who uses a lot of hot water for my long period of showering. But that morning, I only showered for a few minutes because I woke up really late!! But even if I wasn't the one who caused the hot water to turn cold so quickly, my family always blamed it all on me (based on my
past habits)!!
So yeah, keep this in mind:
"Never judge people based on what they did in the past". To me, it also means that I wouldn't mind having a boyfriend who used to be an alcoholic or drug addict or something. Because if they managed to change and have a completely new chapter in their life, then they won't go back to how they used to be! Give people a chance, dammit!!
Mini-updates.
